Carlos Lopez Lizarazo (COL) and Evita SG Z (Verdi TN x Codexco) won Thursday’s biggest class at Hubside Jumping Valence – a 1.50m class against the clock counting for the Longines Ranking. 

“This is my first victory with Evita SG Z after Haras de Grillons invested in the mare eight or nine month ago. Let’s hope this is the start of a lot of wins, because she is very competitive,” Lopez Lizarazo said after his win. 

Eleven horse-and-rider combinations cleared the course and Lopez Lizarazo crossed the finish line in 60.45 seconds, more than two seconds ahead of runner-up Guy Williams (GBR) with Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo Van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) that stopped the clock at 62.58. 

Third place went to home rider Gregory Cottard (FRA) with Bibici (Norman Pre Noir x Nelfo du Mesnil) in a time of 63.07, ahead of Eduardo Pereira De Menezes (BRA) with Calypso des Matis (Padock du Plessis*HN x unknown) in 63.36 and Marie Demonte (FRA) with Manchester (Quidam de Revel x Codex) in 64.53.
