Friday's CSI5*1.50m feature class in Leipzig, Germany, was a qualifier for Sunday's Longines FEI Jumping World Cup and went to Italy's Emilio Bicocchi (ITA) on the 11-year-old mare Evita SG Z (Verdi TN x Codexco).
The couple bested a field of 48 horse-and-rider combinations with their time of 60.44 seconds. Michael Jung (GER) on the 12-year-old mare Ficherchelsea (Check In 2 x Argent) took the runner-up position with a time of 61.10 seconds, while Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) on the 10-year-old mare Beauville Z (Bustique x Jumpy Des Fontaines) placed third. The fourth place went to Ann Carton-Grootjans (BEL) on the 10-year-old mare Kai Licha de Carmel (Prince van de Wolfsakker x Quidam de Revel) and fifth to Nisse Lüneburg (GER) on the 13-year-old gelding Luca Toni (Lord Z x Landor S).
