Germany’s David Will and Zaccorado Blue (VDL Zirocco Blue x Acorado) won Saturday’s CSI4* 1.50m class with jump-off – that was a qualifier for Sunday’s Grand Prix – at the Frecciarossa Milano Jumping Cup in Italy.
As many as 23 horse-and-rider combinations, out of the 44 in the class, delivered a clear round and qualified for the jump-off. With his 27.25 seconds, Will was 1.6 seconds faster than runner-up Joe Whitaker (GBR) with Icaterina (Durango VDL x Otangelo). Paris Sellon (USA) and Attoucha (Aganix du Seigneur x Diamant de Semilly) followed 1.12 seconds behind to take the third place ahead of Roberto Previtali (ITA) with Bellyne de Beauval (Litsam x Univers d’Elle) in fourth and Annina Züger-Hächler (SUI) with Pb Douglass Chavannais (Cicero Z x Ogano Sitte) in fifth
Later in the afternoon, Steve Guerdat (SUI) and Is-Minka (Mylord Carthago*HN x Flyinge Quite Easy) won the 1.45m class. Second place went to home rider Roberto Turchetto (ITA) with Lovely Girl 25 (Legolas x Quidam de Revel) and third place to Richard Vogel (GER) with Caramba 92 (Comme Il Faut 5 x Baloubet du Rouet).
