Friday’s CSI5* 1.50m – a competition counting for the Longines Rankings Group C – at the H.H. The Amir's Sword 2025 in Doha, Qatar, went to Italy’s Emanuele Gaudiano and the 13-year-old gelding Chalou’s Love PS (Diablo Blanco x Conterno-Grande).
Crossing the finish line in 66.85, Gaudiano was the fastest in a field of 26 participants, taking the top honours ahead of Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) Böckmann’s Lord Pezi Junior (Böckmann’s Lord Pezi x Quattro 7) in second in 67.25. Ellen Whitaker (GBR) on Korlenski (Cornet Obolensky x Numero Uno) followed in third with a time of 67.53, while Abdulrahman Alrajhi (KSA) and Ventago (Van Helsing x Hunter’s Scendix) placed fourth in 68.28 ahead of Duarte Seabra (POR) on Van Halen Z (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Canturo) in fifth in 68.95.
The second CSI5* class of the day – counting for the Longines Rankings Group D – went to Jane Annett (GBR) on Impala (Otangelo x Kojak). With a time of 68.54, Annett bested a field of 17 participants, taking the win ahead of Anastasia Bondarieva (UKR) and Virunga H Z (Vigo d’Arsouilles x June Va de Castershoeve) in second in 71.00 and Millie Allen (GBR) on E-Maitresse TVH Z (Emerald x Quidam’s Rubin) in third in 71.34.
