The French riders came strong in force on the first day of CSI4* Jumping International Bourg-en-Bresse. In the main class, the 1.50m Grand Prix qualifier Conseil Regional Auvergne Rhone Alpes, the top nine were all French and best of them all was living legend Michel Robert on the 12-year-old KWPN mare Emerette (Diarado x Chellano Z) who took the win with a time of 65.21 seconds.
In 67.02 seconds followed Nina Mallevaey and Virtouse Champeix (Rubins des Bruyeres x Avec Espoir) who took the runner-up position, followed by Julien Gonin – winner of the 1.40 class earlier in the day – with Valou du Lys (Calvaro F.C. x Galoubet A) in 67.19 seconds. Fourth place went to Simon Delestre on Chesall Zimequest (Casell x Concerto II), and fifth to Roger Yves Bost on Bluemuch des Baleines (Chacco-Blue x Clinton).
