“I love Hamburg,” 36-year-old Mike van Olst (BEL) said after winning the CSI4* 1.50m Grand Prix presented by Range Rover at the Al Shira’aa German Jumping and Dressage Derby in Klein Flottbek in Hamburg, Germany.
With his eleven-year-old mare Comme Elle Faut Odth Z (Comme Il Faut x Canabis Z), Van Olst clocked the winning time of 42.65 seconds in a jump-off of thirteen. Just over half a second slower, Lucas Wenz (GER) on the nine-year-old Holsteiner stallion Charaktervoll HV (Comme Il Faut x Contendro I) secured the second place, while third place went to Ireland's Alexander Butler aboard the 15-year-old Ti Amo B Z (Tolan R x Chellano).
Robin Naeve (SWE) with Queen's Armani (Armani Code x Chellano S Boy D Z) followed in fourth, while Hendrik Sosath (GER) on Casino Grande (Casino Berlin x Contact Me) finished fifth.
