France’s Mathieu Billot and the 9-year-old gelding Heartlove de Pleville (Carinjo HDC x Kannan) won Sunday’s CSI4* 1.55m Andalucía Invitational Grand Prix in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain.
Concluding the third week of competition at the 2026-edition of Andalucía Sunshine Tour, Sunday’s CSI4* Grand Prix saw 49 horse-and-rider combinations line up for the challenge set by Grégory Bodo (FRA). Only three pairs joined the deciding jump-off, where no further clears were delivered. As the fastest four-faulter with a time of 43.46, Billot took the win 0.46 seconds ahead of Pilar Lucrecia Cordon (ESP) and Pica Pica Z (Pilgrim x Abeltus Z), while Julio Arias Cueva (ESP) aboard Filou du Manoir (Salto de l’Isle x Grenat de Grez) placed third with eight penalties in the jump-off.
Picking up a single time penalty from round one, Belgium’s Gilles Thomas and the 9-year-old Happy Landais (Andiamo Semilly x Helios de la Cour) finished fourth, followed by their compatriot Roy van Beek aboard Cavoiro-H OLD (Casallco x Calido I) in fifth with three time penalties.
