Mathieu Billot (FRA) and the 13-year-old gelding Lord de Muze (Nabab de Reve x For Pleasure) took a popular home win in Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix Longines Région Normandie at the Longines Deauville Classic.
Only five of the fifty horse-and-rider combinations that had qualified for this Grand Prix – counting for the Longines Ranking Group B – produced a clear round to move on to the jump-off, where Billot was the fastest when clocking a time of 37.12 seconds. Darragh Kenny (IRL) and Eddy Blue (Eldorado vd Zeshoek x Chacco-Blue) followed in second, after posting a time of 37.63 seconds. Completing the podium was Kevin Staut (FRA) riding Dialou Blue PS (Tailormade Diarado's Boy x Chacco-Blue), with four faults in the jump-off and a time of 38.12 seconds.
Cedric Hurel (FRA) finished fourth riding Fantasio Floreval Z (Florian de la Vie x Clinton), followed by Pedro Veniss (BRA) and Nimrod de Muze Imperio Egipcio (Nabab de Reve x Tinka's Boy) – both with four faults in the jump-off.
