Michael Jung (GER) and the 13-year-old mare fischerChelsea (Check In x Argent) won Tuesday’s CSI4* 1.60m Die Badenia Grand Prix of Mannheim MVV. The home riders dominated the Grand Prix, with seven Germans finishing in the top ten.
Fourteen horse-and-rider combinations out of the 36 in the class made it to the jump-off, where Jung was the fastest, stopping the clock at 41.85 seconds – 0.01 seconds faster than his compatriot Maurice Tebbel (GER) on Don Diarado (Diarado x Lord Lancer). Douglas Lindelöw (SWE) took third place with Casquo Blue (Chacco-Blue x Carthago Z) with a time of 43.22 seconds. Kendra Claricia Brinkop (GER) followed in fourth riding Kastelle Memo (Thunder vd Zuuthoeve x Cicero Z) to a time of 43.46 seconds, while Christian Ahlmann (GER) ended fifth with Mandato van de Neerheide (Emerald van het Ruytershof x Pomme de Heup) after completing the jump-off in 44.79 seconds.
