In Saturday’s Prize of LVM Insurance at Horses & Dreams in Hagen, which also counted as the qualification for the Bemer-Riders Tour leg, Michael Jung (GER) was unbeatable. Riding his small but speedy eleven-year-old Westphalian mare fischerChelsea (Check In 2 x Argent) the Olympic, World and European Eventing Champion had the fastest round of 13 starters in the jump-off. Jung placed ahead of French rider Julien Epaillard on Quincy Lady (Quintender x Lordanos) and the young local hero, Max Haunhorst on Chaccara (Chacco-Blue x Quidam de Revel).

“We have enjoyed some great sport today and I am especially happy about Michael Jung’s win, I am from the south of Germany myself and we have to stick together,“ said Johanna Marheineke of LVM.

FischerChelsea and Jung have had a great run, they were also victorious in the Grand Prix of Dortmund and in the Championat of Braunschweig. Today they added the main event at Horses & Dreams meets France, also the qualifier for the Grand Prix of the Deutsche Kreditbank AG and first leg of the BEMER Riders Tour.

“The mare is on fire, super motivated and fresh. She loves jumping and she’s super fast and agile in the jump-off,“ said Michael Jung. “Hagen is a great event to start the outdoor season, because we can also compete our young horses, and it has been great exchanging views with the other jumping riders and helping each other before the jump-off.”
