The world's most successful eventer beat his showjumping colleagues at the Mitsubishi Motors Masters League at CSI4* Dortmund on Sunday: Michael Jung (GER) could drive home in a brand new L200 Mitsubishi after the Grand Prix. Jung’s partner in the success was the Westphalian mare fischerChelsea (Check In x Argent), that came in clear in the jump-off with a time of 35.72 seconds to take the victory.
"A few years ago, I would not have thought that she would be so good," the 36-year-old rider admitted afterwards.
"No, our eventers in the UK does not ride at the same level as Michael,” answered runner-up Robert Whitaker. "But the one who is good, should win," said Whitaker (GBR), who was in the saddle of experienced Holsteiner gelding Catwalk IV (Colman x Corleone).
Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) was very satisfied with his third place aboard GC Chopin`s Bushi (Contendro II x Nairobi): "I have been for the first time here in Dortmund and for me this is also the last indoor show of the season. We now take a short break and then it goes into the outdoor season."
