Pedro Veniss (BRA) and the 11-year-old Nimrod de Muze Z (Nabab de Reve x Tinka's Boy) continued their top form at the Andalucia Sunshine Tour on Friday, when winning the feature class of the day – the CSI4* 1.50m Ayuntamiento de Vejer Grand Prix qualifier counting for the world ranking. Veniss and Nimrod de Muze Z have been in super shape at the Sunshine Tour and were also victorious in the CSI4* Equine America Grand Prix two weeks ago. Today they returned in winning mood to the David Broome arena, outclassing their competitors with a time of 66.98 seconds.

It was double Brazilian on top in the class, as Bernardo Alves and Mosito van het Hellehof (Elvis Ter Putte x Nabab de Reve) finished second after clocking a time of 68.14. With no less than twenty of the 70 horse-and-rider combinations jumping clear rounds, it took a race against the clock to finish in the top five and third fastest was Sameh El Dahan (GBR) on Wicked Enigma (Cellestial x Alasca) that crossed the finish line in 68.59 seconds. Kendra Claricia Brinkop (GER) and Malissa de Muze (Vigo D Arsouilles Stx x For Pleasure) took fourth, and Douglas Lindelöw (SWE) and Casemiro CC (Cachas x Contender) fifth.

In the CSI4* 1.45m counting for the world ranking, jumped in the Hickstead arena, Bruce Goodin (NZL) and Backatorps Danny V (Quasimodo Z x Lupicor) bested a field of 83 horse-and-rider combinations when stopping the clock at 26.85 seconds in this two-phase class. Almost a second behind was Holly Smith (GBR) and Fruselli (Zambesi TN x Karandasj), while Dermott Lennon (IRL) and Fleur IV (Chatman x Darco) finished third in 28.14 seconds. Jens Baackmann (GER) finished fourth with Aglaia J (Arpeggio x Lancino de L), while Yuri Mansur ended fifth with Away Semilly (Diamant de Semilly x Watzmann).
