Brazil's Pedro Veniss and the 10-year-old mare Nice van Paublo (Bisquet Balou vd Mispelaere x Placido) opened the weekend at the picturesque CSI4* Chantilly Classic in France with a win in Wednesday's 1.50m Grand Prix des Haras – a Table A against the clock.
With a time of 71.23, Veniss and Nice van Paublo took the win ahead of Bruno Garez (FRA) and United Sunheup (Balougran x Brett Saint Clair) in second in 71.34. Niklaus Rutschi (SUI) and Cardano CH (Chameur x Apartigene von Schlosslihof) placed third in 72.76, while David Simpson (IRL) and Pjotr van de Kruishoeve (Bamako de Muze x Taran de La Pomme) finished fourth in 72.90 followed by Juliette Faligot (FRA) aboard Arqana de Riverland (Cornet Obolensky x Diamant de Semilly) in fifth in 72.92.
