Italy’s Giacomo Bassi and the 12-year-old Cape Cod (Tornesch 1042 x Kashmir van Schuttershof) won Thursday’s CSIO4* 1.50m BMG Goworowski Cup, under the patronage of Tylko Skoki, in Sopot, Poland.
Stopping the clock on 66.07 seconds in this class judged as a Table A against the clock, the Italian rider took the top honours in the first Grand Prix qualifier of the weekend, followed by Andre Thieme (GER) and Paule S (Perigueux x Sir Shutterfly) in second in 68.55 and Renee Ulvsbjerg (DEN) and Celeste Balslev (Conthargos x Con Air 7) in third in 68.77. Alberto Zorzi (ITA) and Cornet de Fab (Cornet Obolensky x Stakkato) finished fourth with a time of 68.87 seconds, followed by Martin Dopazo (ARG) aboard Mr Quincy B (Aganix du Seigneur x O-Piloth) in fifth in 69.67.
