Pius Schwizer secured more Swiss success in Rabat, when winning Sunday's CSIO3*-W 61.800 Euro Grand Prix de Feue S.A.R La princesse Lalla Amina.
The Swiss riders have been strong throughout the entire event, and Schwizer and his winning mount Balou Rubin R (Balou du Rouet x Couleur-Rubin) already showed top form in Friday's Nations Cup where they jumped a double clear round for their team.
In Sunday's 1.40-1.60m Grand Prix, also counting as a World Cup qualification in the Arab League, Schwizer was the best of all. With no clears in the first round, 25 % of the best riders – ten in total and all on four penalties – moved on to the second that was against the clock. Here, the Swiss rider stayed clear stopping the clock at 41.39 seconds to take a convincing win.
Two seconds behind followed Ireland's Capt. Geoff Curran on Ringwood Glen (VDL Arkansas x Kilglass Pennistone), while Belgium's Fabienne Daigneux-Lange on Venue D'Fees des Hazalles (President x Alcatras) again impressed after victory in Friday's Nations Cup to finish third this time around.
Fourth place went to Qatar's Sheikh Ali Al Thani, while Belgium's Jerome Guery finished fifth.
