Mexico’s Santiago Lambre was the one to climb to the top of the podium in the CSIO4* 1.60 Grand Prix of Linz. Riding the 10 year old Johnny Boy (Johnny Boy II x Silvio I), Lambre produced one of the six clear rounds in the jump-off – but was the fastest one at 46.90 seconds. Germany’s Denis Nielsen continued his good form to end as runner-up on Cashmoaker (Calido I x Lafitte) stopping the clock on 47.44.
Cassio Rivetti was one of three Ukrainians in the jump-off, besting his compatriots to end third on Forlap (Querlybet Hero x Heartbreaker) crossing the finish line on 48.47 seconds. Bulgaria’s Angel Nyagolov ended fourth, and Ukraine’s Rene Tebbel fifth.
“It’s my first time at CSIO4* Linz, and that I won today is fantastic. I was fast in the jump-off, and gave it my everything and it worked out. I will for sure return here,” said a happy Lambre after his win.
