Dutch rider Sanne Thijssen and her fantastic 17-year-old stallion Con Quidam RB (Quinar Z x Cardino) won Friday's CSI4* 1.50m WKD Trophy counting for the Longines Ranking at the Andalucia Sunshine Tour which is in its first week of competition.

Thijssen was the fastest in a field of 53 riders, stopping the clock at 63.72 seconds with her bouncy stallion that never seizes to impress. No one could match Thijssen's time, closest came two Spanish riders as Eduardo Alvarez Aznar finished second in 65.05 aboard Enjoy de la Mure (Vigo Cece x Sable Rose) and Teresa Blazquez-Abascal third in 65.28 riding Nasa de Toxandria (Vertigo Saint Benoit x Chopin van het Moleneind). Ireland's Alexander Butler and Chilli B finished fourth, followed by Spain's Armando Trapote and Tornado VS (Toulon x Contender) in fifth – making it a great day for the host nation.

"I am very happy with Con Quidam," Thijssen commented to World of Showjumping after her victory. "We kept him a bit away from the indoor shows because he is way better outside and now here he is doing his first outdoor show again and he is directly back in shape – so I am very happy with how he did today. The course went really smooth, everything went like we planned it. He jumped really good, and is ready for the outdoor season again!"

In the 1.45m Medium Tour, which also counted for the Longines Ranking, Turkey's Derin Demirsoy went to the top with the 14-year-old Elzas (Diamant de Semilly x Cornet Obolensky). With a time of 32.60 seconds, Demirsoy left Sergio Alvarez Moya and Charisma HS (Uriko x Cassito) – the winners of yesterday's 1.50m Big Tour – behind them, with more than a second separating the two riders. The third place went to Germany's Jens Baackmann and Aglaia J (Arpeggio x Lancino de L).
