David Will (GER) and Zinedream (Zinedine x Contender) topped Friday’s CSI5* 1.50m ranking class – counting for the Longines Rankings group C – presented by ADSC in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Stopping the clock on 60.90 in the class judged as a Table A against the clock, the German duo bested a field of 34 horse-and-rider combinations, taking the win ahead of their compatriot Daniel Deusser (GER) and Bingo Ste Hermelle (Number One d’Iso x Diamant de Semilly) in second in 61.06. Abdelkebir Ouaddar (MAR) on Istanbull v.h Ooievaarshof (Casall x Calido I) placed third in 61.07, followed by Roger Yves Bost (FRA) and Embassy du Chateau (Jarnac x Bolero de Brecey) in fourth in 61.13 and Shane Breen (IRL) aboard Z7 Oilina (Emerald x Orame) in fifth in 62.26.
The second CSI5* class of the day, a 1.45m presented by ADEC – counting for the Longines Rankings group D – went to Shady Ghrayeb (SYR) and Cabernet de Mars (Baloubet du Rouet x Dollar Dela Pierre) ahead of Mohamed Hamad Ali Al Kirbi (UAE) on Lyon van de Plataan (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Heartbreaker) in second and Abdelkebir Ouaddar (MAR) aboard Baccarat Meniljean (Diamant de Semilly x Dollar du Murier) in third.
