Marc Dilasser and the 10-year-old mare Make My Day Z du Gevres (Mylord Carthago x Ukato) topped an all-French podium in Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix de la ville de Mâcon on home soil in Mâcon Chaintré, France.

Forty-seven pairs had lined up for the Grand Prix de la ville de Mâcon, and ten of the horse-and-rider combinations at start moved on to the jump-off after solving all the questions asked by French course designer Cédric Longis in the first round. Aboard Make My Day Z du Gèvres, Dilasser clocked the winning time of 43.71 seconds, leaving Arthur Le Vot and Djinn Cece (New Look du Thot x Elixir de Madame) to second – 0.71 seconds behind. Cédric Hurel and Fantasio Floreval Z (Florian de la Vie x Clinton) completed the podium, with the fastest time – 41.76 – but on the expense of a rail. Spain's Hugo Alvarez Alvaro and Casaspezia (Casalido x Böckmann’s Lord Pezi) finished fourth, while Belgium's Rik Hemeryck Inoui du Seigneur (Jenson van'T Meulenhof x Aganix du Seigneur) followed in fifth, bott with four faults in the jump-off.

“I’m really thrilled, I couldn’t have dreamed of anything better! This is Make My Day’s third Grand Prix victory. She won the secondary Grand Prix [CSI5* 1.55m] at Paris Eiffel Jumping last year, she won in Lille [CSI3* 1.50m] and now here in Mâcon," the happy winner said in a press release from Jumping International Mâcon Chaintré. "She made her Nations Cup debut in Ocala in a masterful manner in March, so the next goal is La Baule in early June. The course was truly a classic “à la Cédric Longis”, meaning very open and very tricky, as he usually does. He creates truly dedicated courses for the riders where everyone can choose different plans depending on their horse. This course was very subtle, there were just the right number of clear rounds. Cédric Longis is truly a safe bet among the world’s course designers!”
