Nobody could do anything about Roger Yves Bost and Quod’Coeur de la Loge (Ideal de la Loge SF x Tenor e la Cour*Folien) in Saturday’s Grand Prix qualification in Amsterdam. The CSI4* 1.50 class saw nine of the almost fifty riders going clear over the first round track, moving on to the jump-off. Against the clock nobody could do anything about the Bosty and the flying eleven year old stallion, who blazed around the shortened track to push the time down to an incredible 35.68 seconds taking over the lead.

Abdel Said had set an early time to beat at 37.11, after a spectacular jump-off on Dakota (Cento Lano x Intermezzo) but had to see himself beaten by Bosty to settle for runner-up position. In third came the only female rider in the jump-off; Katharina Offel on Quebracho Semilly (Le Tot de Semilly x Eiken des Fontenis) – who also was double clear just slightly behind Abdel’s time stopping the clock on 37.43 seconds.

Earlier in the day, Julien Epaillard won the 1.45 class on Pigmalion du Rozel (Le Tot de Semilly). Almost a second behind was home rider Robert Vos on Carat (Cardento x Krevad), while another Dutch rider followed in third - Leon Thijssen and Quintera (Kannan Kwpn x Quick Star Sf).
