Latvia’s Kristaps Neretnieks and Moon Ray (Cornet Obolensky x Contender) went all the way to the top in Saturday's CSI3* Al Shira'aa Grand Prix presented by Longines in Abu Dhabi.
The competition had 49 riders in it, and three of them produced double clear rounds. It was Neretnieks and the 15-year-old gelding that were the fastest against the clock though stopping the time on 34.79 seconds. William Funnell (GBR) followed 2.56 seconds behind aboard the 10-year-old Billy Diamo (Cevin Z x Andiamo), while third place went to Jack Whitaker (GBR) on the 11-year-old Elucar V.E.(Cardento 933 x Lupicor). The fourth place went to the Khaled Almobty (KSA) on the 12-year-old Soccero (Singulord Joter x Casall) followed by Jack Ryan (IRL) on Essenar High Hopes (Phin Phin x Indoctro) in fifth.
