Scuderia 1918 has strengthened Lorenzo De Luca’s string of horses with the arrival of the 10-year-old Highlight W (Berlin x Clearway). The Italian rider began his partnership with Scuderia 1918 back in December 2018 when he was still riding for Stephan Conter’s Stephex Stables in Belgium, and it was the stallion Scuderia 1918 Halifax van het Kluizebos that kicked off the highly successful co-operation. 

In the autumn of 2021, De Luca left Stephex Stables to venture out on his own – and is now training Great Britain’s Emily Moffitt as well as riding horses from Moffitt’s Poden Farms. With the arrival of Scuderia 1918 Highlight W, that has previously been competed by De Luca’s compatriot Marco Porro, the Italian rider has a new talent joining his stable – and the pair is spending the first months of the year in Wellington, Florida.
