Scuderia 1918 is expanding their team of riders with the arrival of Olympic Team Champion Kevin Staut. The French rider's top horse Viking d’la Rousserie (Quaprice Bois Margot x Apache d’Adriers) also joins Team Scuderia 1918 and will be followed by others, Scuderia 1918 states in a press release.
“I’m really happy to be able to keep Viking d’la Rousserie, who is the most important horse for my sports career right now,” Staut comments to World of Showjumping about the 12-year-old gelding that he has competed since the summer of 2018. “It has been difficult to find a way to keep him, but now I am at peace with that and can focus on the main competitions of the year which gives me a lot of good energy.”
Team Scuderia 1918 now relies on eight top level professional riders, four of them showjumpers: Daniel Deusser, Lorenzo De Luca, Giulia Martinengo Marquet and Kevin Staut. In addition, eventing riders Michael Jung, Kevin McNab and Pietro Grandis are part of the team as is dressage rider Riccardo Sanavio.
