Very sadly, Ludger Beerbaum's former top horse Chaman (Baloubet du Rouet x I Love You) passed away last weekend at the age of 20.
Chaman was retired from the sport at the age of 18, after a long and successful career. After forming a partnership back in 2010, Beerbaum and Chaman recorded countless of major victories together: Aachen, San Patrignano, Wiesbaden. Dortmund, Valkenswaard, Münster, Rio, Basel, Zürich, Paris, Gothenburg, Lyon, Lausanne and Stuttgart were among some of the venues where the two were unbeatable over the years. In total, Chaman won 1,8 million Euro in prize money during his career.
