At the age of 18, Ludger Beerbaum’s Chaman (Baloubet du Rouet x I Love You) will be retired after a long and successful career.

The retirement ceremony takes places at Ludger’s own stables this week, during the Riesenbeck International Indoors on Friday evening.

”He turns 19 in three months, and it is a nice opportunity to be able to say farewell here at home,” Beerbaum states on his website about Chaman that now will focus on breeding at Ludger’s stallion station.

Since they formed their partnership back in 2010, Beerbaum and Chaman have taken countless of major victories together: Aachen, San Patrignano, Wiesbaden. Dortmund, Valkenswaard, Münster, Rio, Basel, Zürich, Paris, Gothenburg, Lyon, Lausanne and Stuttgart are among some of the places where the two were unbeatable over the years.
