Saturday night's highlight at the 2022-edition of the Stuttgart German Masters was the CSI5*-W 1.55m competition over two rounds which counted for the world ranking.
Out of the 38 horse-and-rider-combinations at start, thirteen pairs jumped a clear in round one and the ten fastest of them qualified to continue onto the second decisive round. With a time of 43.95 in round two, Japan's Eiken Sato and the 15-year-old Chacanno Jra (Chacco-Blue x Kannan) took the win ahead of current world number one Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) and the 11-year-old Nababette Z (Nabab de Reve x Gasper) who stopped the clock on 45.00. Alessandra Volpi (USA) and the 14-year-old Berlinda (Berlin x Gento) took the third place, while Wilm Vermeir (BEL) and Joyride S (Toulon x Pachat II) placed fourth and Gerrit Nieberg (GER) aboard Blues d'Aveline CH (Baloussini x Coriall 2) fifth.
