David Will dominates in Abu Dhabi

David Will (GER) has had a great start to the CSI4*-W show in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Will won Friday’s biggest class – a 1.45m class in two phases – riding Concordia (Colorit x San Patrignano Cassini) and followed up with a victory in Saturday’s biggest class too – a 1.45m class against the clock – riding Forest Gump (Forsyth x Feuerwerk). 

In Friday’s 1.45m class, Will and Concordia stopped the clock at 22.27 seconds in phase two, 0.58 ahead of runner-up Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) with Larry (Böckmann’s Lord Pezi x unknown). Will also took the third place with Forest Gump, with a time of 23.62 seconds. Fourth place went to Constant Van Paesschen (BEL) with Verdi Treize (Diamant de Semilly x Eiger I) and fifth place to Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) with Nikolaj de Music (Kannan x Nabab de Reve). 

In Saturday’s 1.45m class, Will also took the first and third position with Jur Vrieling (NED) on Chabada de l’Esques (Quebracho Semilly x Apache d’Adriers) being able to squeeze in between to take the runner-up spot. Fourth place went to Bart Bles (NED) with Comme-Laude W (Comme Il Faut 5 x Diagonal), followed by Mouda Zeyada (EGY) with Fiori LS (Riscal la Silla x Quidam de Revel) in fifth.
