Kevin Staut and S&L Through the Looking Glass (Arkan x Hairos) took their first five-star victory together, when winning Sunday's CSI5* 1.50m competition at Kingsland Oslo Horse Show.
The 9-year-old mare made her international debut with Staut last weekend at Sentower Park, and today marked their first big win together when they produced the fastest of the only two double clears in this competition counting for the Longines Ranking.
Staut was a second faster than his compatriot Olivier Robert on the 8-year-old stallion Vangog du Mas Garnier (Windows vh Costersveld x Quidam de Revel), who delivered the second and last double clear of the class. Third place went to Leopold Van Asten on VDL Groep Beauty (For Pleasure x Contender), who was the quickest of those on four faults in the first round. Belgium's Jos Verlooy finished third and Italy's Alberto Zorzi fifth.
