Hello,

Another day, another early start... Since Cantinero feels to be in top form, it was decided yesterday that he should jump again today. Therefore I was allowed to spend some quality time with Gotha and rode her in the morning. Cantinero, or Mr. Happyface as I like to call him, got a long handwalk and we made sure to pass team Qatar's stables for a little chat and cuddles with his old friends.

This morning my engine demanded some extra coffee, maybe partly because I got stuck a little too late last night at dinner with the girls. We are just so well taken care of here, and the food is pretty amazing. I am feeling confident that in case anything would happen to the truck on the way home (knock on wood it doesn't), I can just curl up into a ball and roll home. As we were eating we got to witness one of the  reasons I like the LGCT events so much: all the crew from show office to stewards and vets had gathered at the restaurant for a surprise birthday celebration. I think we all could learn a lesson about team spirit from them. Once again, happy birthday Barbara :)

Cantinero jumped good again until the last line, where there was some kind of a black out on the communication and a total miss on the distance to the last fence. Well, what can you say, these things happen. Now the skies opened up here again and it is absolutely pouring rain. Time for us to pack up and start the long jorney home!

When it comes to this event here in Rome, I think the LGCT team can leave this fantastic venue with saying "veni, vidi, vici". Can't imagine they could have done it any better. As for my part, grazie mille for having me and hope everyone had a good weekend!
