Steve Guerdat's World Cup Champion Corbinian was crowned Switzerland's Horse of the Year 2016 during Mercedes-Benz CSI Zürich last weekend.

The 11-year-old gelding by Cornet Obolensky x Pilot won last year's Longines FEI World Cup Final in Gothenburg, and was also on the podium in the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final in Geneva finishing third. The pair won the Longines Christmas Cracker in London right ahead of Christman, was third in the five-star Grand Prix of London and second in the three-star Grand Prix of Liege during 2016.

Corbinian's owner Sabrina Cartossi was honoured as Owner of the Year.

Martin Fuchs, who had a fantastic Nations Cup season, was awarded the Rider of the Year-title while
Nadja Peter Steiner was named Rookie of the Year.
