After being rank four last month, the 13-year-old Westphalian mare Toveks Mary Lou (Montendro x Portland L) has taken over on the top of the latest WBFSH World Ranking List. With 1338 points, Toveks Mary Lou – who is bred by Hubert Nienhaus and ridden by Henrik von Eckermann – is ranked as the best horse in the world.
New as rank two, on 1275 points, is Maikel van der Vleuten's ride Dana Blue (Mr. Blue x Hemmingway) – a 11-year-old KWPN mare that is bred by J.A.M. Bocken. Just like last month, Nayel Nassar’s 13-year-old Westphalian gelding Lucifer V (Lord Pezi x Grandeur) – bred by Karl Vobhage –follows in third with 1218 points.
Daniel Deusser's ride Calisto Blue (Chacco Blue x Con Air), a 12-year-old Oldenburger gelding with no registered breeder, is up from rank seven to four this month while Ben Maher's 10-year-old KWPN gelding Explosion W (Chacco Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) – bred by bred by Willy Wijnen – is ranked fifth this month.
On the studbook ranking, KWPN still leads the way on 6796 points with Dana Blue, Explosion W and Dublin V (Vigaro x Calvados/Sable Rose) as their three best representatives. Rank two is the Westphalian Studbook that has 5708 points – with Toveks Mary Lou, Lucifer V and Moon Ray (Cornet Obolensky x Contender) being their best three ambassadors. Zangersheide follows as rank three with 5655 points, and has Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z (Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve x Mr. Blue), Ladriano Z (Lawito x Baloubet du Rouet) and Claire Z (Clearway x Coronado) as their top three horses.
