The CSI4* 1.60m Grand Prix at the 4Foulee competition in Poznań, Poland, for the trophy of the Mayor of the City of Poznań and the awards of the patron of the event – Mr. Roman Roszkiewicz and the City of Poznań – had 37 pairs on the starting list. To the applause of the audience gathered at the Wola Hippodrome, seven of them jumped clear over the demanding first course. There was no shortage of sports emotions in the final jump-off, where Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) turned out to be the best riding the 13-year-old Chalou (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) to a time of 35.07 seconds.

"The course was big enough, we had a water jump, the triplebar and the triple combination at the end. It was a nice run, fair and clear, and a nice jump-off as well,” said Gaudiano about the course set by the Polish designer Szymon Tarant. “I went as number five in the jump-off, we already had two clears and I went fast but not too crazy, I did one more stride to the last jump. The rider after me tried to beat me, but I had some luck. Chalou jumped great, he’s an amazing horse and he was brilliant today.”

The second place went to Andreas Schou (DEN) and Independent after the pair stopped the clock at 35.56 seconds, followed by Roberto Turchetto (ITA) and Lovely Girl 25 (Legolas x Quidam de Revel) in third with a time of 36.48. Home rider Marek Lewicki (POL) and La Pezi (Lord Pezi Junior x Ludwig von Bayern) also went double clear to finish fourth, followed by Christoph Obernauer (AUT) on Kleons Renegade (Quintero x Stakkato) in fifth with four faults in the jump-off.
