Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA) and the 12-year-old gelding Cochello (Casall x Cartani 4) won Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix at the Vilamoura Champions Tour 2021 in Portugal.
Six of the 28 horse-and-rider combinations in the Grand Prix made it through to the jump-off, were Bucci was the fastest when stopping the clock at 39.73 seconds. Celine Schoonbroodt-De Azevedo (BEL) took the runner-up position with Clinto T Z (Clintissimo Z x Indoctro), after crossing the finish line in 41.28 seconds. Third place went to Charlene Bastone (GBR) and Sanlou (Sandro Boy x Chacco-Blue) with three faults in the jump-off, while Michael Whitaker placed fourth with Q Paravatti N (Quality Time TN x Indoctro) after finishing on four faults in a time of 39.76. Denise Wilson (USA) and Fantastico B (Flamenco Desemilly x Andiamo) ended fifth, also on four faults in the jump-off.
