Wilm Vermeir (BEL) and Joyride S (Toulon x Pachat II) took a home win at Sentower Park on Thursday, when topping the second Grand Prix qualifier of the weekend – the 1.50m Prijs Equihome, a Table A jump-off class counting for the Longines Ranking.
A total of 14 pairs from the 58 starters cleared the first-round track and joined the deciding jump-off, where Vermeir and the 13-year-old stallion Joyride S were the fastest – stopping the clock on 34.84.
Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) and Luigi d'Eclipse (Catoki x Calato) took the runner-up position with a time of 35.28 seconds in the jump-off, while 36.73 secured a third place finish for Mohamed Weaam (EGY) on Empire (Calvaro F.C. x Erdball XX). Jens Vandenberk (BEL) on Faldiano (Heartbreaker x Jus de Pomme) took the fourth place and the fifth spot went to Jeroen Appelen (BEL) on Moningo - D Van'T Heyveld (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Brownboy).
