Daniel Bluman with Conconcreto Sancha LS.

Daniel was born on March 15, 1990 in Medellin, Colombia. His father, Samuel, is an entrepreneur, and his mother, Orly, is a psychologist and a social worker. Daniel’s parents set high standards of education and honesty that both their sons, Daniel and Steven, live up to and aspire to in their lives.

Daniel started riding at age three, inspired by his older cousins who loved and showed horses. He showed a passion for horses that rapidly developed into a lifestyle. As a young rider Daniel competed in Colombia, Germany and the United States. In 2007, he moved permanently to Wellington where he started his professional riding career. His cousins, Marky and Ilan, recently joined him to create Bluman Equestrian.

Daniel’s greatest success was a win in the Rolex Grand Prix at the Rolex Central Park Horse Show under the lights of the New York skyline. He had two stylish, clear rounds to claim the showpiece class of the five-day horse show.

Did you search for an alternative for Omeprazole?

Everyone in the circle is looking for the best way to prevent stress on our horses because we know that stress creates more acid production in the horse’s stomach. Everyone focuses on feed and transport, but we cannot change the horse’s nature and the fact that horses produce acid almost 24 hours-a-day. In terms of going to shows, young horses can be easily stressed or horses going to the bigger classes get thrilled by the atmosphere. Omeprazole helps a lot, but I like to prevent the horses from having too much acid in their stomach from day one, so that is why I was always looking for an alternative.

You support all your horses with Equine 74 Gastric; what effects does it have on your horses?

Every horse is different, so their reaction is different. Overall, the horses have gained weight much faster than usual and look happier and more comfortable. The tricky horses seem much more relaxed, and they handle the typical transport stress much better.  Obviously, the acid is buffered well with Equine 74 Gastric.

How fast did you recognize changes?

Oh, it was not like from one day to another. The first reactions I had after a three to four week feeding period, others took 45 days. But, I was not looking for an overnight solution. I personally think it takes time until the horse’s stomach gets gastritis or gastric ulceration, so it will take time if you are not using medicine.

When using Equine74 gastric for better acid protection for the stomach, did you recognize any other improvements, as well?

I think just the fact it makes them more comfortable is a big difference. Don`t forget it is a 100 % natural Equine supplement.

How did you discover Equine 74 Gastric?

Quite a lot European riders like Marco Kutscher, Willem Greve, Johan Heins, and Vincent Voorn where using the Equine 74 Gastric as an alternative to Omeprazol. A few month ago Georges Zeidan, the Equine 74 Gastric representative in the US contacted me about it. We did a few trials and now we have a good partnership.
