It seems like Marco Kutscher and Van Gogh have both escaped yesterday's fall in Rome without serious injuries. Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson.

The German equestrian website St. Georg.de reports that Marco Kutscher has been diagnosed with a concussion and a bruised pelvic bone following his fall in Rome yesterday. Luckily for the German rider, internal damages or serious injuries have been excluded following medical examinations. Dr. Michael Rüping – member of the German Equestrian Federation’s Showjumping Committee – has accompanied Kutscher to the hospital in Rome and says that they hope that Marco will be released from hospital today.

Furthermore, it is reported that Kutscher’s horse Van Gogh has escaped unharmed from the accident. Van Gogh will undergo further veterinarian examinations upon his return from Rome.
