Saturday's mixed CSI5* and CSI2* Masters Open presented by Le Figaro at the Longines Masters of Paris went to Pius Schwizer.
Aboard the 9-year-old talented gelding Balou Rubin R (Balou du Rouet x Couleur-Rubin), winner of the CSI3* Grand Prix of Rabat earlier this year, the Swiss rider was by far the fastest one against the clock in this 1.45m competition with his time of 61.93 seconds.
Five seconds behind Schwizer followed home rider Roger Yves Bost on Tesway de la Batia (Calvaro x If de Merze), while third place went to his compatriot Nina Mallevaey who was almost nine seconds behind the winning time aboard Solitude Au Vent (Quaprice Boimargot Quincy x Israel).
Again the clears were few in Paris, with only three more riders out a field of 56 staying on a clean sheet: Jane Richard Philips (SUI) finished fourth, Philippe Rozier (FRA) fifth and Clara Hallundbæk (DEN) sixth.
