The 12-year-old gelding Beau de Laubry Z (Bisquet Balou C x Nabab de Reve) has moved from one French rider to another. After competing successfully with Kevin Staut for three years, Julien Anquetin has now taken over the reins.
“I am really happy to ride a horse like him,” Julien Anquetin commented to World of Showjumping ahead of the pairs’ first international appearance together. “He has done great in the past and it is a new challenge for me to compete at the highest level with him. We will see after our first show, he is going to jump small classes this weekend just to get a feeling with him. At home, my feeling with him has been very good.”
With Staut in the saddle, Beau de Laubry Z won the CSI5* 1.60m Rolex Grand Prix in Dinard and the CSIO5* 1.60m Tourmaline Oil Cup at Spruce Meadows 'Masters' in 2024. In 2023, they won the CSI5*-W 1.60m Helsinki Grand Trophy in Helsinki and the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ in Stuttgart.
