The host nation’s Bassem Mohammed and the 13-year-old gelding Wathnan Chaccball (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) won Saturday’s CSI5* 1.45m at the Al Shaqab Equestrian Centre in Doha, Qatar, where the Doha Equestrian Tour 2026 continues with the Al Shaqab Cup 2026.
With a time of 34.44 in the second phase, Bassem Mohammed took the win ahead of Faleh Suwead Al Ajami (QAT) on Wathnan Quality Street (Obos Quality 004 x Lux Z) in second in 35.67, while Mohamad Mogheeth Alshehad (SYR) with Saphir Z (Sandro Boy x Lavall 5) placed third in 36.78. Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi (QAT) aboard Isis (Bodubai x Labor’s VDL Indorado) and Gerfried Puck (AUT) on Lavisto (Falaise de Muze x Padinus) completed the top five in fourth and fifth respectively.
