The action at Al Shaqab in Doha, Qatar – where the second week of H.H. The Father Amir's Prix takes place this week as part of the Doha Equestrian Tour 2026 – kicked off on Thursday with a Swiss win in the CSI5* 1.50m, a competition counting for the Longines Rankings Group C.
Switzerland’s Nadja Peter Steiner and the 13-year-old mare Nice van’T Zorgvliet (Emerald x Heartbreaker) clocked the winning time of 59.30, taking the top honours ahead of Italy’s Emanuele Gaudiano and Esteban de Hus who took the runner-up spot with a time of 59.54. Abdulrahman Alrajhi (KSA) and Ventago completed the top three when stopping the clock on 60.35, while Philipp Weishaupt (GER) on Chaquito PS (Chacco-Blue x Conthargo) followed in fourth in 61.59 and Sheik Ali Khalid Al Thani (QAT) aboard Marco Monet (Irco Marco x Camara M) in fifth in 61.61.
